4 signs that your company needs a new website

May 11, 2020

Living in the digital world, your services are not just limited to your local area anymore. If you have a business and don’t have a website, you are probably losing out on opportunities for your business. And you are fooling yourself if your website just acts like a digital brochure or business card and not helping you get business. Your website is the center point of your digital identity, and needs to resonate with the quality of your business, work and audience. The following article highlights some signs that will help you figure out if your website is outdated and if you probably need a new one.

1. You’re not getting enough inquiries or calls

People are visiting your site, but no one is filling up your forms, subscribing to your email list, or buying your services? Even if your website is getting a lot of traffic, and you are not seeing a steady increase in leads or sales then your website may have a conversion problem. Your lead magnet is not attractive enough or you are unable to communicate the value of your service and hence people are not converting. You need to revamp the communication on your site to cater to the needs of your target audience so your offer shows weight and value.

2. You’ve Grown!

Congratulations! Your business has grown 2x, 3x or hopefully even 10x! The quality and scale of your business has significantly become better. So why are you still using an old website that does not resonate with the quality of your business. Your website is a part of your business, not a separate entity. The first contact that someone may have with your business would mostly be your site and you never want to give a bad first impression.

3. Your website’s design feels outdated

94% of first impressions relate to your site’s web design and 75% of website credibility comes from design. When someone visits your site for the first time, you want to have a lasting impression. No matter how much you spend on social media or search engine marketing, if the person is being redirected to your poorly designed and outdated website, he/she will most likely drop off. If you want people to stay on your site or visit again, you need to invest in creating a high-quality website, with importance given to the design and functionality. This will build trust in your audience and make them stay and engage on your page.

4. Your site is not mobile friendly

According to Statista, 50.81% of all web traffic came from mobile, exceeding desktop and nearly 75% of users prefer a mobile-friendly site, clearly stating the importance of a mobile friendly site. The story just doesn’t end on mobile, your website needs to be responsive for all screens such as desktop, smartphones and tablets. A responsive website is a website that is easy-to-use on all devices because the content of the site automatically adjusts to fit on large and small screens. Creating a website that is “responsive” is a standard part of the website design process in our Brand Transformation.

Whether you are just starting out or have an established business. Having a website that resonates with your brand is utmost important in building a successful brand identity.
